Well, the outline for the second revision is completed, but there’s still a few details I need to work out. I can’t say what they are, or it would spoil the story. I’m working on those in the back of my head, while writing some lore for Kaos War. I finished the background for Humans and Al’gar. Once I finish Deva, I’m going to write the outline for the e-serial, Into Kaos. I already know the overall story I’m going to use, I just need to flesh out all those little details I love so much.
Hopefully I can get some work done, with it being a three day weekend and all. I’m also trying to write blog entries more often. You can always tell when I’m playing video games or not. When I’m not playing, I have an entry once a week or so. When I am playing? Every three months I write something like “Wow! Has it been that long?”

OK, thanks to a short stint with Lord of the Rings online, I’m completely done with video games for the time being. I’m in the process of completing the outline for revising The Mists of Faeron. I’m having a really difficult time, because there’s some great storylines that I feel need to be cut to make the book more cohesive and encapsulated. I decided to focus entirely on Barr, his friends, and Ealdan/Markus. This means a good three or four sub-plots are falling to the wayside. I felt these other storylines were important to the overall story, but the truth is they just enhance the main story, which can be told without them. There were just too many new characters, all over the place.
While preparing to rework this story, I went back and read the first. While I love the story changes, I was shocked to find so many glaring mistakes. Mostly, they’re transposed or missing/extra words. I took notes and plan to pay the $200 setup fee (again) to have them corrected. Like I said in the Foreward, I have no intention of self-publishing any more once this trilogy is completed. I still want these three books to be as perfect as I can make them, though. I’ll have to spend more time editing this second revision. There’s just a huge difference between editing on screen and seeing it in paperback.
I removed the forums from this website. They were a waste of space, since the only people using it were porn and drug spammers. I have a hard enough time keeping these people out of my blog comments, let alone bothering to filter them through new users and forum posts. I replaced the forums with a new section called E-Serial. I originally intended to release an online novel, a story I have already outlined. I just never had the time to do it. I’m going to be writing one for the guys at SRI, though. It takes place in the Kaos War game world and will coincide with their in game lore. I plan on making the chapters short but numerous, so I can keep up with the weekly pace.
Sometime in the near future, The Last Incarnation is going to be reviewed at Pod People. It’s a review site for self-published paperbacks and e-books. Keep an eye out for that.
Henning and I have hammered out what will be the new cover for The Mists of Faeron. Once he’s done with current projects, he’ll be able to squeeze mine in
Thanks Henning!

WoW! As in, World of Warcraft. Damn game sucked another four months of my life away! Ah well, I guess I just enjoy playing games far too much. Well, I’ve decided to scale back my game time long enough to start working on revising the second book, The Mists of Faeron. This was right about the time Damon, from Kaos War, called to tell me he decided it would be better for the creative process if I had free reign over the game’s lore. After writing the first two pieces on their website, I wasn’t really able to do anything more because of how many unanswered questions I had regarding the game’s universe. I should be able to answer most of those questions myself now.
What this means is I’ll be working on two projects at the same time, something I normally never do. I really wanted to get my book finished, so I refuse to put it aside any longer. Working on the game will take so much time that even if I devoted myself to it fully, I wouldn’t be done in a year. Luckily there’s no real rush to have everything completed with the lore. I’ll be doing general write-ups for all the races and cities next, after I finish the backstory for a new area they’re developing. Then I’ll be starting the outline for a game related e-serial. I had plans for one on my own website but never had the time to follow through with it. This one has a little my priority to it.
So, I expect to be done with revising The Mists of Faeron and start on the new e-serial within the next few months. Provided I don’t get sucked back into game playing, that is…
