  8. J.A. Giunta Says:

    Diana,
I have no idea :) I have family here in Arizona, as well as in Florida and New York. From what I’ve seen, Giunta isn’t as uncommon a last name as I would have thought. We italians are everywhere!

I think My Aunt Vanecia was in Niagara Falls, New York as well.
I know for sure that my family came over from Pessaro, Italy (northeast of Rome) in ‘La Marche’

  11. J.A. Giunta Says:

    Diana,
Most of my relatives in New York are in Brooklyn and Long Island. I know I have family that came over from Sicily, but I’m not exactly sure where.
Sorry for the long delay! I’ve been pretty busy lately trying to get this revision done and still manage all the things I normally do.

  17. Tom Giunta Says:

If you are interested under the Giunta name. The first one to come to America was my grandfather Loborio in 1920. He came here with his wife Felecia and two sons and a daughter: Nicolas, Philip and Rose. Philip passed awar on 2-22-06. He was 90. Just recently, on 10-15-07, his wife of 65 years passed away. Teresa Giunta was 107 years old. Loborio and Felicia gave birth to a son Anthony T. Giunta, who passed away on May 22, 1975. He was my father. He was born on May 15, 1922. He is survived by two sons, Thomas & Gary Giunta. I have two sons & a daughter, Tom Jr., Anthony and Lisa. I have five grandchildren (three boys and two girls). My brother has a boy and a girl, Neil & Laura. My uncle Nicholas & his wife Madeline have both passed on, survived by three boys and two girls (Nicholas, Samual, Allen, Madeline & Rose). There is a list of the first to settle in America and their siblings.

    Hope to hear from you,

    Tom Giunta Sr.

  18. J.A. Giunta Says:

    Hi Tom!

I’m always glad to hear about other Giunta’s! I’m not well-versed on the family history, but I believe my grandfather Frank was the first Giunta here in America for us. His wife Evelyn is still living in Brooklyn. My dad is Tony (married to Lorraine) and his brother was Gary (married to Twinkle). My brothers are Anthony and Michael, and my sister is Maria. My cousins Frank and Dawn still live out in New York.

  19. aine Says:

Well, my friend, you are a masterful writer! I so enjoyed your first book that I could not put it down (or step away from it, rather)! Not even the delights (heh) of lairshaping could draw me away, and now that I have completed it I am anxiously awaiting the completion of your rewrite of book two. Do hurry, please…I have left dear Barr and his friends in the mists, and I must get back to them quickly…
    (Dar can’t be gone…can he?)

Please keep creating. You’ve gift that cries out to be voiced. *Nuzzles*

  20. Harold Kim Says:

Mr. Giunta, What can I say but exquisite! I just wanted to let you know that all of us support you and hope that you keep up the great stories. As you know I enjoyed it and just like some of the others anxiously awaiting the last of the trilogy. Therefore in not so many words, HURRY UP! :)

  21. J.A. Giunta Says:

I know, it happens every time doesn’t it? I get half-way through a manuscript, and video games get me by the short hairs. Aside from all the goings on with Kasim and his cancer, which left me not wanting to write much, I started playing WoW again. I never get anything done when I’m gaming. ><

I’ll get back to writing again soon, though. Henning is working on the cover for book two, and it really is inspiring me to write.

  22. Harold Kim Says:

I hear you man. I know you must be stressed with Kasim, family, and just personal day to day going on but know that all of us who have read your book are supporting you and really hope that you impart your creative world with us. We would not be demanding this from you if we did not think you were good at what you do. I anticipate the last book of the trilogy.

  23. Scott Lilley Says:

Joe, thanks for the advice in the games and for being a great friend. I look forward to reading the books when they arrive in a few days.

  24. J.A. Giunta Says:

Any time, Scott! I hope you enjoy the books. If I suddenly stop playing games as much, it just means I’m working on book three. ;)
